Da = The

Dem = Them

Deer Season = When men go to camp and women go to Green Bay to shop

Yooper = Someone BORN and raised in da U.P.

Troll = Someone BORN and raised below da bridge. (Caution: many Trolls try to pretend there're
Yoopers but us Yoopers can spot dem)

Apple Knocker = A troll in Yooper land during hunting season

Banana Belt = Delta and Menominee counties where most of da snow don't fall

"Da Yoopers" = Most popular band in the U.P.

YooperLand = Da portion of land above da bridge that always use to get left off da maps

Winter = Da season that last six months no matter what da calendars say

Zink = Yooper term for the kitchen sink
