Guys on Ice
Guys On Ice
is a charming comedic musical that tells the story of two ice fishing buddies from Northern Wisconsin who talk and sing about life,
love, and the one that got away. With musical numbers like "De Wishing Hole", "Ode
to aSnowmobile Suit", and "Fish is de Miracle Food", Guys on Ice
will charm your wool socks off. It is a story every yooper can relate to.... it
is also surprisingly touching. From their ice fishing shanty, long-time pals Lloyd
and Marvin keep warm with a mutual appreciation for good bait, a cold Vier Beer,
and the Green Bay Packers. As Marvin anxiously awaits his opportunity to
appear on a cable TV fishing show and share secrets of his life on da' lake, Lloyds
ponders a recent squabble with his wife concerning plans to spend their
anniversary at Lambeau Field. Both pals scramble to protect their cold ones from fellow
angler, Ernie the Moocher. Guys on Ice has played to sold-out houses across the
country and now LST brings it back home to the boathouse after having been voted
the show we most want to see again by last season attendees!

The Love List
The Love List just crackles with hilarity as Bill
gets an unusual birthday present and has his world turned upside down.
Bill is a divorced 50-year-old, having experienced seven years of being
alone after his divorce. He receives the life changing love list when
his friend Leon takes him out to dinner and gives it to him as a
birthday gift. Little does Bill know that Leon got this gift from a
dating service run by a local gypsy and it would actually bring someone
into his life. It’s one of those plays you enjoy immensely while finding
yourself laughing uproariously The humor also comes with some real
substance as you leave thinking about what is on your love list. With an
intriguing plot, it is one of those shows that really works at the Boat
House. Join us at LST and you will laugh, cry, and cheer the characters
as they navigate their way through the labyrinths of love,
disillusionment, and new understanding. If there is any message of
importance in this play, it’s be careful what you ask for! |

The Secret Garden
The
Secret Garden is a musical based on the children's classic and is the story of orphaned Mary Lennox. As the show opens, Mary is living with her
parents in India. After their death, she is sent to England to live with
Archibald Craven, her widowed uncle. The servants put her up in a room but her uncle
rarely stays home because the memories of his lost wife haunt him. Mary finds her
uncle’s magnificent mansion holds a number of secrets including an
invalid cousin and a secret garden, locked and abandoned, that was the pride of
Archie’s deceased wife, Lily. Mary makes it her mission to restore the garden to
life and teach Colin and his father to deal with the pain of lost loved ones and to
love again. With the exciting choreography and the complex and hypnotic music, this
is a musical that truly grows on you, and you appreciate it more and more each
time you see it. The Secret Garden will be weaving its musical spell as we share
this joyous story about the growth and blossoming of the earth and the human
spirit - a garden of delight for the ears and the imagination. Older children and
adults will find it hard to resist its magic and mystery.
