As LST Presents Our 2011 Season
Presenting Our Past Is Possible With Your Present!
It
seems the spring is never long enough to accomplish the multitude of
tasks involved in bringing you exceptional LST productions. Even though
it has been a chilly spring we are thankful that was not a winter like
1873 - that spring a boat did not make it into the harbor until May
21rst! Of course we hope that while we work on transforming the working
boathouse into a summer theatre, you will help support Lake Superior
Theatre by making a donation. The monies that you contribute are used
exclusively for the theatre productions and come at a time when our cash
flow needs increase and our work goes into high gear.
Every year families tell us how much they enjoy attending LST walking
the bike path to the theatre on a beautiful summer evening. Others
suggest that coming out of a performance and looking out on majestic
Lake Superior makes us realize how lucky we are to live here. Some
marvel at how they can leave the opera glasses at home and enjoy amazing
live theatre in easy, intimate comfort, almost feeling like an actor on
stage!
Often I am asked how we can bring so many fascinating performances to
the boat house each season at a cost that encourages families to attend
– and talk about their unique heritage. We can do so because of your
donations and support. This year your donation will also provide
matching funds for our efforts to increase the ambiance of the boat
house (previews will be available at the Lightkeeper) and complete our
work on the t-trailer.
Thank you for helping us to provide outstanding live theatre and making
Marquette a desirable place to live, work, and play.
